Marches Family Network is governed by a volunteer trustee board who meet on a monthly basis. We are looking for trustees who are passionate about creating a society that includes everyone. We are particularly interested in hearing from people who have experience of social care, childcare, charities, business, or disability issues.

Fiona Ironside
Fiona Ironside joined our Trustee Board with Safeguarding Responsibility in 2025. Originally from Scotland, Fiona is a committed parent to a child with complex disabilities and a passionate advocate for families navigating similar challenges. Having experienced first hand the transformative impact of high-quality respite services, she brings invaluable insight, empathy, and lived experience to the charity’s leadership.
As a trustee, Fiona is dedicated to ensuring that families of disabled children receive the vital support they need. Her deep understanding of the emotional, physical, and financial pressures faced by caregivers helps shape the charity’s strategic direction and strengthens its commitment to making a meaningful difference.
Alongside her lived experience, Fiona brings a professional background in personnel management and administration, with a particular passion for coaching others to thrive in their roles. Her experiences training within healthcare settings has equipped her with a broad skill set and a strong desire to build capacity and confidence within the community.
Fiona is especially focused on making high-quality short break services accessible and sustainable, ensuring no family faces these challenges alone. She is proud to work alongside her fellow trustees, staff, and families to create a more inclusive and supportive future for disabled children and their caregivers.
